The best thing about hammocks, really, was how they allowed one to stretch out in the warm morning sun. And it tended to minimize the sway one felt on a ship at sea coming from the waves. All in all quite comfortable really, particularly for someone with a rather feline nature. The hammock he'd had brought specially on board was a bit of a joke along with being comfortable. No point in having something that only accomplished one task, anyway.

Around him, the ship is waking up...though really it never entirely goes to sleep. There's too many of them from too many different places... )

Which brings us back to Loki, who didn't particularly care what people thought about the ship's origin. Only that his nap in the warm morning sun not get disturbed before, oh, about noon or so.

Between he and Clarissa, Set had long since managed to conduct most of his business from the comfort of his penthouse in Tribeca - the days were long past, after all, when he'd actually have to go to the exchanges - but on rare occasion he had to take a meeting away from his downtown base. Occasionally he even had to go uptown, gliding up Sixth Avenue in the relative quiet of his chauffeured car so he could charm some lawyer (it was almost always a lawyer) out of their objections.

And sometimes, afterwards, it was good to breathe in the air.

His walk was brisk enough to fit in with the pace of the New Yorkers around him, but not so brisk that he didn't notice the familiar figure sitting on the bench outside Central Park. There was more than a little temptation to just keep going, but old habits died hard, and Set pivoted on his heel.

"Not your usual milieu, is it?"
